The Banishing of the Chinese Wedelia

Turns out, kid socks are just as practical for weed pulling as gloves are!

After three HOT days of work, all the weeds that acted as our "grass" have FINALLY been removed!!

AND I AM SO HAPPY!

Sweaty too!

Now, sleep!

Day 4,465

The Hard Yard Workers

It's time: Mama is working out again and these little chiclets and Taylor are my new gym-partnering-accountibilty partners! 

Let's see: we decided our timeline needed a little color after some inspiration from the Twombly timeline.

We decided it was finally time to tear up the rest of the invasive Chinese Wedelia from the backyard and plant actual grass.

Turns out having four tiny helpers (and one big one--thanks Tay!) is exactly what you need for a well-oiled weed-tearing-up machine.

Hasn't felt so good laying down in a loooooong time.

Mama's almost as tired as the ol pups.

Day 4,458

The Teaching Textbook Students 

Kate can't help herself--she's enamored by the fun math Bearett and Amelia "get" to do on the iPad. She can't wait to have her own special math one day!

They've lately been especially busy with their Lego bins and pieced together some impressive creations! It's sweet to me for watch one child sit down to dig into the bins of imagination and within minutes, the others will trickle in and join in on the fun, sometimes hours at a time.

Day 4,433

The Cottage, The Water, The Rocks, The Fans, The Gettys!

The little Cottage Girl loves her some cottage play.

I always enjoy a sweet, slow start to our day.

It quickly sped up though.

We were delivered our gigantic air conditioning fans for the barn that will eventually be put on our Property whenever that time comes, 

then, it was off to the dump to unload the huge pile of rocks we had stacked in the trailer, as we had to move them all with the new installation of WATER ON OUR PROPERTY! 

However, we couldn't get the fans moved into the storage unit until the rocks were out of the trailer, so it was a hot and sweaty day of work that paid off in multiple ways. One: ice cream cones, obviously.

Two: The Keith and Kristyn Getty concert in Fort Lauderdale!







It was a night packed with beautiful worship, fun entertainment, and even a call for all the children to come sing a song on stage!

The Gettys are right there at the top of our list for favorite music to listen to and we are so thankful we got to watch them praise and sing and play their instruments live! It was the cherry on top that we had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Kristyn after the show. What a fun night!

The Free Fishy River Rock

Mama found a bunch of free rocks.

Mama has a bunch of kids.

Mama's bunch of kids helped her retrieve a bunch of rocks!

And eventually, we'll have ourselves a pretty walking river rock path with all our hard work!

The Finger Workout

Her little fingers are slowly getting stronger! 

We're waiting for the time when they catch up with her bow! 

These three are learning at lightning speed! Way to go, Conley Kids!



And turns out, Daddy can still throw a mean fastball :)
