SUCH a fun day with our beloved Calabreses!
We are so thankful to the Lord for bringing them into our church, home, and lives.

Day 4,505

The Ark Encounter

Daddy! Wake up! Time to go!

We said goodbye to our friends and our cabin and drove four hours north for our next vacation stop:

The Ark Encounter!!

Grandpa Larry and Grandma Tracy met us for this most incredible experience.

It’s nearly unspeakable how unbelievably thought-provoking and convicting our day at the Ark was. Bringing this biblical text to life underscored the sinful wickedness of humanity in contrast to our just, yet merciful Great God that rules over all creation. It highlighted the beautiful, simple, and utterly dependent trust Noah had in God, even in the midst of great scorn and opposition. Oh, that I would emulate such dependence in my own life! Visiting the Ark was sobering and humbling and a tremendous encouragement—that the Lord would choose to give us such examples of faith to look to is such a grace!

We probably needed another 6 hours to make it through all the Ark had to offer, buuuuuuut, three hours of walking and learning turned out to be enough for us!

Day 4,502

The Way. The Truth. The Life.

Way. Truth. Life.
“When darkness clouds your way
Jesus turns night to day
When doubt and fear surround
His word is solid ground.

There’s only one way to God never changing
Only one way to truth everlasting
Only one way to life never fading.

He’s the Way.
He’s the Truth.
He’s the Life.”

What an incredible week of gospel-teaching moments and opportunities. We are continually praising the Lord for mercifully directing us to this beautiful, faithful, and relentlessly biblical body of Believes to live life alongside.

And although we’re sad to leave VBS prematurely, we’re off on a short summer vacation!

Day 4,481

The 33rd Year of Adam

Shhhhh….let’s sneak out of the house and get Daddy some special treats before he wakes up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY!!!
He’s just the best.
And he’s our best, which makes him that much best-er.

To the man who warms my sheets by moving his legs back and forth real fast before I get into bed, who greets me with a glass of ice cold coffee perfection every morning, who cleans *most* of his whiskers from the sink, who helps me with the dishes when the couch is full of laundry, who holds my hand that funny way, who sings and reads and prays and talks with me so easily and freely, who helps me be a better friend, a better daughter, a better sister, mommy, wife, and Believer by being such a faithful follower of Christ and a sacrificial leader of our family…
Happy birthday, my dearest friend and husband.
What a gift your life is to those God chooses to place in your path. I love you!

Day 4,457

The Wet-Again Wetlands

Our wetlands are wet again thanks to the May showers and now we can watch the fishies swimming!

Happy, matching farm men :)

Happy hunting bird dogs.
The owls perched up on the kids' sandbox posts were a delight for us to watch!

Goodnight!
