Day 4,528

The Campers and Preppers

Drop Baby Sissy off at Camp time!

This big girl got to go to CBC Summer Camp all week all by herself and what a special treat it was!

And once the switch at noon happened, this big girl then got three hours all to herself with Mama and Daddy! Talk about special!

While they were gone, Molly and I finished up some crafting items for our bi-annual Handy fair. This year, Molly wanted to sell twirling ribbons, so here she is taping the stick with pretty washi tape!

All while the big kids spent three hours at their own CBC camp!

:)

When everyone was finally home, we finished up with helping Bearett make his “snacklaces” for the Handy Fair. Any chance for Bearett to interact with treats is definitely his thing.

And finally, a small preparation and example of what Amelia and Ella Mae chose to sell at the Handy Fair: Italian Sodas!

Day 4,488

The Kindergarten Finish Line and The Bloody Head

SHE DID IT!!!!
She's reached Lesson 100--the last lesson in her reading book! And that means: IT'S TIME FOR GRADUATION!!!
WAY TO GO ELLA MAE!! She has done such a wonderful job in her quest to learn how to read and we're so proud of her!

The rest of the day, we just had all the fun.

That is, until it turned bloody.
I was afraid we were dealing with something more significant when the pillow hit the wooden spatula hit Millie's head, but it ended up only being a little cut. Thank goodness, because if the amount of blood were any indication of the injury, we'd have been in the ER! Goodness.

Blood subsided and pillow fight ended, we headed to Petco for some dog chow animal perusing. Duh.

:)

And since my afternoon was scrapped due to Amelia's bloody head, when we got home, the chores had piled up. Thankfully, I married a man who isn't afraid of the kitchen sink. Thank you, my sweetest, most helpful and manly MAN!! I love you!

Night!

Day 4,485

The Simple Days

I can't help myself--they're the cutest sleeping bunch I know!

Amelia went on a day-date with Miss Taylor and was surprised with her favorite treat.

Then we all had a date at Daddy's favorite store: Tractor Supply.

And then, Ella Mae Ella Mae'd.
(In layman's terms: Ella Mae caught another creature. This time, a frog. And she was utterly devastated when we told her it was time to come in for supper. This was her bidding Mr. Froggy farewell. The pain in her heart is real, y'all.)

Day 4,471

The Conley Kids Are Just My Favorite

I am so thankful that the Lord not only allowed me to be a mother, but that He also perfectly chose each of our four children specifically for us. It is such a joy and tremendous, weighty responsibility to be charged with the task of raising these children in the fear and instruction of the Lord. I don't know if there exists in this world, a greater job, pursuit, or effort.  I'm grateful for all the ways they are sanctifying me into the woman God has called me to be and I pray that by my own example one day, they'd turn to the Lord in repentance and faith, following and obeying their God all the rest of their days.

Happy Mother's Day!

Day 4,468

The Proverbs 31 Birthday Girl

It was Taylor-take-the-kids-to-Taekwondo-day so I could set up and prepare for Kerra's last birthday in the states with her friends before she leaves for Papau New Guinea!!!

I am so blessed by this woman--as are so many in this church body and across the country. Her faithfulness to the Lord, her example to the world, her love of her family, her care of her friends, and her love of her church are refreshing, convicting, and such an encouragement to everyone who knows her. The Lord has grown a woman who exemplifies the Proverbs 31 woman and who has become one of my closest and dearest friends. I am so thankful for the Lord's kindness to allow me such an intentional, genuine, and precious friend to live life alongside. It was such a joy to celebrate her this last time before she departs for her new home on the other side of the world. Happy Birthday, Kerra!

Day 4,463

The Maker-Uppers

Making up spices with his own basil.

Making random pit-stops at adorable little places.

Making Sissy try it first.

Making himself comfortable.

Day 4,445

The (Future) Farm Kids

The frog obsession is real y’all. They found him yesterday and managed to find him “again” today.

These (Future) Farm kids are sure making the most of their time, right here at the cottage.

But Lord willing, these (future) farm kids are probably *not* going to have to use these ever again, but until then, we need to do a better job of poop bag organization, children.
