Day 2,164

The Birthday Bear

Since he’ll be five (!!!!) on June 22nd and not here in Spokane for his special day, we threw our Bear his highly anticipated “Lizard Hunting Gecko Party!”

But since it’s not technically his birthday yet, I’ll save my words for his “real” birthday and leave the rest of yesterday to pictures.

Your Daddy and Mommy love you SO much, Son. You’re incredible and such a dear addition to it family.

Thanks to everyone who came and helped this boy feel and know just how loved he is. What a treasure for him to remember and see.

Day 2,154

The 2-8

On your 28th birthday, you get to use your child’s toes as microphones while eating breakfast in a hotel room.

You get to steal loose change.

You get to spend the loose change.

You get to eat all the cake.

And cuddle all the babes.

28’s sure looking good and we’re thankful for another year with our Dada. He knows just how much we love him. Happy birthday, Dada!!

Day 2,392

The Ella Mae Birthday Babe

Someone's (almost) one!!!
And so, we celebrated!
Now, since she's got nearly the worst birthday date in relation to the baseball world (sorry MaterKate!), we had to bump up her birthday party, which meant that Daddy couldn't be there. We're thankful we could celebrate with our friends, but since Daddy was gone, we're leaving the decorations up and have plans to celebrate our Ella Mae all week long - Daddy included!!

Since it's not her birthday yet, and because I've stayed up excessively late every night for the past three nights, you'll have to come back on her actual birthday (the 29th) to read all about Ella Mae's first year and about how crazy, madly in love we are with her.

Until then, enjoy the sweetness of Ella Mae's first birthday party as we celebrated our dearly loved, radiant, and full of life Rainbow Babe!

(The Aunt Kim birthday box!!!! Cute as ever! One deer-ful!)

Turns out, it's nearly impossible to host a party, celebrate your babe, be a mom, and take pictures simultaneously. But we managed well enough and I was able to capture a little bit of her special day! I hope you know how much I love you, Ella Mater Mashed Potater <3

Day Fifteen Hundred and Seventeen

The 3-Sport-Future-Athlete

Before we got to work yesterday...we got some more Vitamin D.
Because, why not, right?! The stuff's super good for you!

So this was my our work yesterday.
Ours because Little Miss Amelia wouldn't give me more than half hour time chunks to do anything. Poor teething baby!

Though it took us all day (and night) to finish this masterpiece...

...we're happy it's done, happy it's cute, and happy that we can celebrate Baby Landon with it at his mommy's sports-themed baby shower!!!
