Day 2,409

The(n) There Were SIX!

Say hello to Molly Louise Conley!
Born last night at 8:47PM on our bed.
7 lbs 4 oz
20.5 inches long
5 hours of labor
1 day after her “due date”
AND SHE’S ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

Tomorrow’s post will detail more about her, her name, and our experience, but this mama is exhausted and Molly is too! Goodnight from our new family of six!

Day 2,405

The Long-Awaited Cuddles

I think yesterday was better than Christmas morning for these four. Grandma is here!!!! And we are beyond excited! They’ve yet to leave her side and can’t seem to ever get close enough - sorry Mom. I don’t know how vividly you remember not being able to even use the restroom alone, but that’s where we’re at, so welcome back to your old reality ;)

I’ve been promising girl time only with Amelia for the last week, with the idea we’d go get our toes done together. We decided to put it off a few more days so Grandma could come along too and what fun it was!!

Amelia loved her special time and picked the perfect sparkly purple for her new baby Sister.

She sat in her chair happily and patiently for 45 minutes and we were so proud of her. We love you, Big Sissy!! So thankful for quiet time with my MillieGirl and her Grandma.

Meanwhile, back at home...
Ella Mae was lured to the couch where she watched her favorite Gruffalo movie. This while Dad and Bub chased each other around the house in masks, “hunting” each other with Nerf guns. Naturally.

Day 2,393

The Coziest Places

Morning snuggles with the babe.

Evening cuddles with the church.

Also, Adam and I have yet to settle on a name for our Little Girl. We’re looking for an old fashioned name that’s unique, begins with a vowel, goes with Conley, and is very feminine. We’re stumped and though we sort of have one front runner, we’re still on the fence. So if you’re reading this and think you have a sweet name that maybe we haven’t heard or considered yet, feel free to send me your lists!!! PLEASE. But beware that Adam dislikes most every name out there, so no pressure or anything. Uhhhhhh.

Day 2,388

The Anticipation

Mama’s 37 week belly and that makes for 5 excited Conleys! Getting closer! Hopefully my Tiny Babe will forgive me for not being as organized this pregnancy and appreciate the beautiful lifestyle photos that our photographer took instead! It’s been my hardest pregnancy yet, but we’ve still found so much joy in all her little kicks and hiccups. Seeing her sibling’s faces light up at her every movement is such a treasure and I can’t wait to see their reaction when meeting her for the very first time. We’re ready, Baby!

Day 2,384

The Home Visit: Round Two

Two years ago - during my last home visit - that tiny cute face was on the inside of my belly. Bearett was in Washington, and Amelia was in charge of all the measurements.

So much has changed.
And praise God for it.
We’re 37 weeks on Saturday and inching closer and closer to meeting our New Sissy. Every day, Ella Mae points to our baby and says “Out! Out Mommy!” She’s ready for the reveal! They’re certainly just as eager to welcome Sister as Daddy and I are...but truth be told, this mama is for some reason, not exactly looking forward to the whole laboring part...at least not as much as I was in pregnancies past. Apparently that’s a natural tendency, but if you remember, pray for me anyways!

I’ll take foot rubs too if you have those to give as well ;) My little Bubba has been serving his tired mama faithfully lately and I sure appreciate it!

Day 2,367

The Clinate Change?

It can’t be...

Mom?! Dad?!
Is that? Could it be?

No way!!!

I can’t believe it!

This is real life!

And this is SNOW in Paradise!
You see it?!

Real snow!!!

“Mom, it tastes like soap.”

Well, real or fake, soap or no soap, out kids got the surprise of the wintertime witnessing what appreared to be snow in Florida for the very first time. They were shocked and loved the idea of it all - something we hope to give more to them as the years go on in the form of winter snow trips and mountain log cabin vacations. Until then, we celebrate the cool weather as best we can, and that means sometimes driving 45 minutes south to see the fake snow show on Christmas Eve’s Eve!!

Happy parents seeing happy children. They’re such a blessing to us!

Not far down the street from the snow show is a place called “Sandi Land.” A south Florida winter wonderland oasis, complete with a 35 foot, 700-ton sand tree castle.

I mean it. ALL sand.
Nothing holding it up but itself!
How cool is that?! She’s one of a kind, that’s for sure!!

The kids got to play in the sand and decorate/clothe their own giant horizontal snowman while enjoying the light and music show, put on by Sandi Tree.

We had the best time and loved spending time doing such special things together. Thank you, Daddy.

Merry Christmas from the Conleys!
(Just about the only Christmas card photo I have this year. Sorry.)

Day 2,287

The 22nd Week!

Our first appointment since Week 12 and the kids all got to be there! It was an exciting time, though a confusing one too. Bearett and Ella Mae are brand new to the experience of Mama being pregnant, and Amelia doesn’t remember doing all these same things when I was pregnant with Ella Mae, so trying to explain everything happening was part comical, part exhausting. But what a joy it’s been to walk them through this and for them to be able to hear their baby sister (!!!!!) for the very first time! Hiiiiiii Baby Girl! We are crazy excited to meet you!

As of Thursday, our Baby is the size of a spaghetti squash and the kids always love knowing “what our baby is this week.” They ask every Saturday how big she is and we watch a short video, followed by looking up the “food” size of the babe. So far, they’ve recognized every food, but spaghetti squash wasn’t as fresh in our understanding, so we went to the local farmers market in town and discovered our baby’s size in real life! We love you Sweet Spaghetti Girl! You’re going to make this Conley Clan even better than it already is...and that’s saying a lot!!

Day 2,273

The Fourth Conley is a...

DON’T RUIN THE SURPRISE. CLICK THE LINK.

I’M WARNING YOU...

IT’S A SIX MINUTE VIDEO. JUST WATCH IT.

*SPOILER ALERT*

That’s right! She’s a girl!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
We’re absolutely excited and overflowing with gratitude!
Well, all but one of us anyways.
(Hahahahahaha can’t stop laughing every time I watch it! Classic!)

The second Adam and I found out, I looked at him and said something like “Bearett is going to be devastated and Amelia is going to scream with joy.”

If that’s not devastation...
My poor boy.
But...I Can’t. Stop. Laughing!

He’s been talking about his “brother” as long as he’s known there was a baby in my tummy, and immediately said, “I want a brother I can teach to be a man!” He’s been further crushed by the fact that Amelia “won” and that you apparently have to have “three men to alligator hunt.” Adam tried to tell him that Daddy counts for two men. He wasn’t buying it.

He eventually, after great coercion, ate the pink cake we made. But reluctantly. We didn’t realize he’d be as crushed as he was, but after him and Dada talked about the Lord’s plan being best and then spending some man time together building a fort alone in his bedroom, I’m happy to report that he’s back to his normal tough self. And though he still wants a brother, he says he’ll love his new sister. But that the NEXT baby is going to be a boy! Aye! I still don’t think he understands that we don’t get to choose these things. So there’s that. Hah!

We’re SO excited about our baby girl and can’t wait to meet her in 19 weeks! What a blessing she already is to us and such a generous gift from the Lord. We think having one big brother and three younger sisters is precious and absolutely what’s perfect for our family. We’re just really not looking forward to the very real struggle it is going to be in naming her. It might be that this little Conley girl is nameless for a week after she’s born with the history we’ve compiled!

WE LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!!!
And we can’t wait to show you how much we treasure your little life. Even though it was a bit rocky with your brother at first ;)

Day 2,238

The Sudden Drive

Random last second decision: let’s go home!!!
They’ve never been so happy to ride those bikes.

And her shorts have never been so happy drinking a smoothie.

Now all we gotta do is wait till Sunday night when Daddy comes home for the offday!
But for now, she’s never been so happy about seeing him on FaceTime.
Miss you lots Dada.
__________

Baby update:

I can’t wait for the day when I quit gagging and almost vomiting while brushing my teeth each night.

We’re 16 weeks!

I felt the baby’s kicks for the first time yesterday!!

And no, my morning sickness has still not yet subsided.
