Day 4,508

The Lesson in Saluting and The Lost Tooth

Having arrived home, Gammy contacted me and said she needed to come over asap.

Apparently, these chiclets needed a lesson in how to appropriately salute!

And so, she taught us!

Having herself learned how to salute from her days of service in the military, we were quite thankful for the lesson and proud that our Gammy’s still got it! ;)

AND THEN ELLA MAE LOST HER FIRST TOOTH!

Day 4,456

The LORD keeps all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,
And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

Psalm 145:20-21

A Psalm of Praise, of David.
I will extol You, my God, O King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised,
And His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
On the glorious splendor of Your majesty
And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.
Men shall speak of the power of Your awesome acts,
And I will tell of Your greatness.
They shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness
And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.
The LORD is gracious and merciful;
Slow to anger and great in lovingkindness.
The LORD is good to all,
And His mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall give thanks to You, O LORD,
And Your godly ones shall bless You.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom
And talk of Your power;
12 To make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts
And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
14 The LORD sustains all who fall
And raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to You,
And You give them their food in due time.
16 You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all His ways
And kind in all His deeds.
18 The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry and will save them.
20 The LORD keeps all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,
And all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever.

Psalm 145

Day 4,349

The Dirt Boogers

Back to the Farm (Property) for some more work!
We accidentally installed the fences backwards and had to go move the orange fence behind the silt fence.
Technicalities'll get ya every time. Thankfully though, the mistake was minimal and we were able to get it done just quickly enough to take home an entire car full of dusty, dirty children!

Day 4,317

The 2022 CBC Christmas Program

Pretty Chloe girl!
(Pssssssst...I see YOU, Daddy!)

Handsome breakfast making boys!

Merry Christmas program, CBC!

The children were such a blessing to us this year. They continue to grow in number and in sweetness, and we are so excited to watch this beautiful ministry grow. This year, for the first time, the big girls sang their own song and Amelia was able to participate!

The Property is getting closer and closer to "go" time. We're seeking permits and have a lot to accomplish still, but we're at least in the process of getting our barn up! This has all taken much longer than we initially anticipated, but we're thankful for the setbacks and for all the lessons the Lord has taught us in the process. We're taking it day by day and are in no rush, though we really are looking forward to the day when we can call this beautiful piece of land our home. I'm not sure what I've shared already, but our plan is to first build our barn and then late this year or early next, we will begin the process of building our home--ideally, costs will have returned to pre-Covid prices by then.

Until then, we're loving our Cottage and truly love the coziness it's brought into our lives.

(Bearett is newly very excited about learning chess)

(Our small group is full of children and one of our most favorite things)

(And babies sleeping, well...it's probably one of my most favorite things)
