Day 4,491

The Boice Bride-to-Be

Our church is currently exploding with new marriages AND WE ARE PUMPED ABOUT IT! It’s always such a joy to celebrate with these young ladies and share with them gifts and wisdom before they begin a new kind of life with their husbands. We love you, Mrs. Almost-Boice!

Until—Lord willing—we’re celebrating these girls in a similar fashion, we’ll continue training them up in *all* the ways, including finding creative tricks to clean all those hard-to-reach places!

Day 4,468

The Proverbs 31 Birthday Girl

It was Taylor-take-the-kids-to-Taekwondo-day so I could set up and prepare for Kerra's last birthday in the states with her friends before she leaves for Papau New Guinea!!!

I am so blessed by this woman--as are so many in this church body and across the country. Her faithfulness to the Lord, her example to the world, her love of her family, her care of her friends, and her love of her church are refreshing, convicting, and such an encouragement to everyone who knows her. The Lord has grown a woman who exemplifies the Proverbs 31 woman and who has become one of my closest and dearest friends. I am so thankful for the Lord's kindness to allow me such an intentional, genuine, and precious friend to live life alongside. It was such a joy to celebrate her this last time before she departs for her new home on the other side of the world. Happy Birthday, Kerra!

Day 4,460

The Kids Museum with the Twomblys!

Twombly Family +  Conley family + kids museum = the perfect day!

It was our last date with our dear friends before their departure to Papau New Guinea and as always, it was such a joy to make memories with them, but this time, it had a particular dose of added sweetness. Goodness, are we going to miss seeing their faces and hearing their voices in person. The Lord is so good though and we're looking forward to all the ways He'll use them to extend His saving grace to the native people in the mountains of PNG.

Day 4,443

The Family of God

Family small group night—we are thankful every single time for God’s gracious gift of the church body.

“Oh how good it is when the family of God
Dwell together in spirit, in love and unity;
Where the bonds of peace, of acceptance and love
Are the fruits of his presence here among us.

So with one voice we’ll sing to the Lord,
And with one heart we’ll live out his word
Til the whole world sees the Redeemer has come,
For he dwells in the presence of his people.

Oh how good it is on this journey we share
To rejoice with the happy and weep with those who mourn.
For the weak find strength, the afflicted find grace,
When we offer the blessing of belonging.

Oh how good it is to embrace his command
To prefer one another, forgive as he forgives.
When we live as one we all share in the love
Of the Son with the Father and the Spirit.”

Day 4,438

The Book 1 Graduate and Property Water!!!

OUR WATER IS COMING!!!!

Dig that trench! Bring us water!
City water, to be exact :)

And while we're cheering for our new water, we'll cheer even louder for Amelia's graduation concert from Suzuki Violin Book 1!!!!! What an incredible accomplishment, Amelia! She's worked so hard to learn and to play with such grace, this most difficult instrument. She truly loves the violin and it's such a joy to watch her excel with such passion.

Congratulations, My Girl! We are forever proud of you!!

Day 4,424

The Sandhill Crane Rescue!

Bearett spotted an emotional baby sandhill crane separated from its parents and he had to help!

So, he ran out of the car and into the dugout, rescued the baby crane,

and restored it to Mama crane!
Well done, Bubba!!!!!

Then we visited The Property to see Daddy's hard work paying off! We have an almost-totally cleared path for our trail now!

And to wrap it up, a little family reading time,

a last-day-as-a-five-year-old picture with Mommy and Daddy,

and a pair of matching friends to top it off.

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus."

Day 4,415

The Life as it was Intended

"They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved."

Acts 2:42-47
