The High Achievers
We had one VERY special day on Thursday!
Amelia completed her reading “class,” finishing all 100 lessons in her curriculum and earning her title of “Official Reader!”
WAY TO GO AMELIA!! We’re so proud of you! First grade, here we come!
And to celebrate?
A day trip to the rock climbing club with our new friends!!
We freestyle climbed,
we climbed in harnesses (go Molls!),
we climbed all the way to the top (YEAH Ella Mae!!),
and had all the fun we could handle!
Thanks for inviting us, Upshaws!
And we capped the night off with gymnastics class—the one day a week when Mom gets 15 minutes alone while all the kids flip together! There’s Bearett getting his handstand for the first time ever! Woo!

We had such a fun day and are so thankful for all the opportunities we’ve been able to experience while being here. Our night however, quickly changed when one of Adam’s teammates was struck in the head with a line drive, causing an emergency unlike we’ve ever seen before. Mr. Zombro immediately fell to the ground and the ambulance arrived minutes later, taking him to the hospital. We were relieved to find out that he’s now in stable condition, but the night proved extremely emotional with the reality of our mortality
