The Artist
Now, my girls - for being 1 and 3 - are pretty artistic. Ella Mae can hold and use a pen properly(ish),

and Amelia can make at least recognizable shapes.

Bearett though?

This boy is on a totally different level. In the painting above this one, Bearett painted me, but what surprised me the most was how adamant he was to paint in my shorts and eventual shirt. He said “Mom, I dont want people to see your privacy.” Modest is hottest, Bear! Thanks son. Appreciate it. I couldn’t stop laughing. Even those stick figures need clothes!
In the above painting, Bearett told me he was creating an exploding volcano who’s lava fizzed into the ocean. He then proceeded to draw Sneaky Snake Satan (black dark squiggle between the blue and the red) who was burning up in the lava. That’s what I’m talking about, Bear!

And finally, a mushroom. Planted in the dirt, of course. Can’t forget that. I never got an explanation on this one - which thinking about it now, I’d be delighted to know seeing as we haven’t talked or eaten mushrooms like, ever since he’s been here - because right as I took the photo, Amelia spilled the entirety of the watercolor water all over said mushroom. We may never know. I’m so proud of this boy though. What a treasure he is. And a creative one at that!
