Day 3,302

The Baby Sitter

The big girls and Mommy went on a shopping date. Ella Mae used a mail holder for your wall as her shopping cart. I think she overlooked the fact that her cart only had one side and zero wheels. I decided it best not to object to her shopping experience and instead, enjoyed their childishness. Goodness, children are a gift. I revel in that fact during the delicate and precious moments but admit that I need to remember that even more when I’m tired and the babes won’t obey. Being a mother is the greatest joy of my life aside from being a child of God and a wife to Adam. I can’t imagine spending my days any other way and yet, I am reminded so often of just how sinful I am and just how much I need Christ always, in everything, leading me to repentance and greater faith. Even—and especially—in the raising of my babies. Goodness, children. I do love you so.

While we shopped, Daddy babysat. No really.

That’s a baby. And that’s him sitting.
And while he was stuck under said baby for fear of waking her up, him and Bubba got to enjoy a man date with one of their most delicious treats: Star Wars: Phantom Menace. I was slightly bummed that I didn’t get a selfie with him and Bub, but let’s be real, they're dudes and they were WAY too busy with Phantom Menace to consider such trivial things. Duh.

You are *THE* actual best, Adam.
Thank you for constantly showing me what a servant heart truly looks like.

Goodnight from my handsome man!

And goodnight from my cozy sissies.
