The Third Year of Riley
Ohhhh Mom! I'm just so excited! Ooooooh. Ohhhhh! My hair's looking awesome and it's Riley's birthday!!
Happy birthday to our big three-year-old pal!
Mwah! We love you Riley!!
So grateful that baseball turned us into buddies and then into besties. You're a treasure, my friend. We hope you had the best time sharing your pool, cake, and toy ice cream tongs with us!

Yes, those are pads. Frozen ones from when I gave birth. Haha. Maybe TMI, but I don't really care at this point. That's the way of life and they do quite help the healing process. But for real, I'm glad I had some leftover because Amelia got bit YET ANOTHER FOUR TIMES yesterday in the parking lot and I needed a way to ice them. Huge mosquito welts. Enter: witch hazel pads, lavender, tea tree oil, and ice cream. The ice cream makes you cold from the inside, so it was an obvious choice. Duh. Praying that these suckers - especially the one on her ankle - isn't anything more than a reaction to the bite. Truth: today we went to the hospital for that one. More on today tomorrow, but they said it's possible she scratched it and the bite got infected by MRSA. We won't know for two days if it is, in fact, infected, because it has to be cultured, but I'm definitely keeping a psycho-Mommy eye on it. So yeah, today has been, uh, full.
