The Tenth Cake Start vs CBC Kickball
I've never missed fellowship and church so much before in my life. Yesterday was such a sweet day filled with both rest and refinement, and I'm so grateful to be surrounded by this body of Believers.
Yesterday was filled to to brim. We made it to church st 11:03 (it starts at 10:30, but when your babes' usual wake up time is 11:30, you've gotta give yourself a little grace!), came home to eat lunch and swim...
...Ella Mae CLEARY enjoyed both the swim AND the lunch!
And then we settled down in front of the computer for Dad's game. Once Baby was asleep, I put some workout clothes on and did a little 30 minute HIIT workout while Dada pitched and while Amelia watched a show. Multitasking at it's finest!
He started off the game quite questionable, throwing 35 pitches before recording three outs. That's a lot. But instead of my typical freak out session, I decided to try something different and although I still had a knot in my throat, I chose to pray my worries and fears aside in order to simply enjoy the game like it's supposed to be enjoyed. It's taken quite a bit of accountability, discipling, admonishment, and hard conversation to get to this point, but I can start seeing glimpses of freedom from the constraint baseball has on my heart and it's a great encouragement to me.
Adam ended up pitching well, recording a win and a quality start. He said he's been feeling (mechanically) better - an encouragement to him.

Once Dad's game was finished and the girls' naps were taken, we spent the rest of our night at dinner and kickball with our church. Amelia was in her element.
I can't even believe how gracious the Lord was to lead us to CBC. I'm in awe of the Body of Christ, as we're experiencing it unlike ever before.
I never realized before coming to CBC just how important and necessary the local church really is. It's Christ's bride. His bride. He loves the church. And we do too. We've grown tremendously over the past six months and are constantly praising the Lord for his unique providence in our lives. Thank you Jesus for YOUR church. For serious, maturing, transparent and accountable Believers. It's truly a beautiful thing.
Mom, get out of the way! Can't you see that I'm trying to watch the game?! I don't want a photo with my matching sister right now!
