Day Eighteen Hundred and Seventy-Two

The Trek to the Ridge

We spent an entire day traveling from West Palm Beach to Atlanta to the Blue Ridge Mountains, but at 7PM last night, we finally arrived to our annual friendcation in the cabin in the woods! Hello Georgia! We sure missed you!

(Amelia and I flew while Adam drove the 9 hours to Mineral Bluff. Our trip was mostly uneventful, but Adam, not so much. About two hours in, he was driving 80 MPH on the Turnpike when suddenly, a car slammed into his tire. He steadied the wheel, but eventually pulled to the side of the road after a woman drove right into him!! She apparently didn't see the massively large black truck directly to the left of her when she decided to change lanes, but THANKFULLY, nobody was injured and the truck didn't sustain any damage. But he did - due to Florida state law - have to wait for the police to show up before being cleared to leave the scene of the accident. So when he finally arrived to the cabin, you can imagine how hard his head hit the pillow. Welcome to vacation, Conleys!
