Day Four Hundred and Fifty-Five

The Summer Spends the Winter Here!

Sea-Suns Greetings from West Palm Beach, FL! "Where the summer spends the winter!"
Just 15 minutes from our cozy apartment, West Palm decks their palms (and sands) for Christmas! SO FUN! It was 80 degrees yesterday - and obviously entirely too hot for snow or ice - so us Floridians bring in the holiday season with warm, white, wintery sand instead!

Sanda Claws even made an appearance! Ha! He loves West Palm!

At the Waterfront in Downtown West Palm Beach, a 35-foot sand tree with real lights and weighing in at 400-tons, is the first of its kind...IN THE WORLD!!!

With such a neat piece of history in our midst, we did a small photo shoot...yes, another one. Poor Adam's face won't be able to smile again for at least a week or two (he's DONE with photos for a while and has made that point quite clear. Haha. So Grinchy!)

Our real purpose here, though, was to take Channing and Andrew's Christmas card photo! Looking all pretty (and handsome), their pictures turned out GREAT! But, I didn't want to give away their photo before they've sent it...so I'll post that at a later date, along with ours!!

Friends and Cracker Barrel. Perfection. Oh Washington, why do you hold out on your residents when it comes to restaurants?! Cracker Barrel is one of Adam's favorites...and apparently a lot of our friends' too!

About 4 blocks from the sand sculpture, First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach calls this gorgeous building their home. It's stunning. It's also our "parent church." (Family Church is the first campus planted out of FBCWPB). Collectively, our entire church body consists of 4 different campuses. And last night, the 4 campuses came together to put on Project Christmas 2012 - A Night of Joy, celebrating the birth of our King through a outstanding concert of beautiful voices. Partnering with South Olive Elementary School (a local school in our community), all of the proceeds from every ticket sold go directly to helping precious children and families who find themselves in need this holiday season. I couldn't help but to smile big and sing loud the entire night. Seriously beautiful.

  2. Well, we don't exactly have a yard, but we do have two porches! I'm sure a bed and a small dresser would fit quite nicely out there!! Haha :) You'll have to come visit sometime! And I'm not sure if I can send any sun...it's vacationing here right now and I'm not positive that it wants to leave ;) Hope you're having a lovely Holiday Season! You'll have to send me your address so I can send you a Christmas card!!
