The French Polynesian Packers
Packing for most trips is no fun. Usually, I'm as close as possible to the 50 lb weight limit and end up wearing only half of what I smuggle in. Adam often questions why I bring so much...I just smile and keep adding. "We'll, what happens if it's 90 degrees in Spokane in October? Then I'll HAVE to bring my sandals," sounds like something ridiculous I'd say. It always happens the day we're leaving: my bag is still missing items and I have to rush the clothes from the dryer to the suitcase with barely any time to fold them. We're no good at this packing thing. Well, maybe it's actually just me. Adam could make two pairs of socks and four pairs of undies last a week. I can't. Not a chance.
This time though, the back packing was actually fun AND only half of one suitcase is filled with my clothes! The other half is filled with Adam's. And the second suitcase we packed? It's basically a glorified goodie bag! All our snacks, towels, snorkels, floaties, toiletries...and anything else not considered clothing is in that bag. Wahoo! Moorea, here we come!! We leave for our trip on Friday (today!!! I'm on the airplane right now, on my phone, without Internet connection...but shhhh. This is supposed to be about yesterday!!) We have a six hour flight to LAX, then an right hour flight to Tahiti. After that, we hop on a ferry and ride 25 minutes to our beautiful over the water bungalow! We can't wait!! Yesterday was exciting as we packed and packed for what will be our honeymoon trip and my first time ever flying out of the country! French Polynesia, we can't wait to see what you have in store for us. We're so so ready for this much needed time together to relax!
