The Spokane Move
We moved from Woodinville, WA to Spokane, WA today. It was a
long trip. Really long. And every single one of us is just so exhausted. With a
caravan made up of two sports cars and two U-Hauls, we made the trek over the
steep and dangerous Snoqualmie pass. It’s under heavy construction…and even
heavier smoke. There are 40,000 acres of burning wild fires in Washington State
right now, and we all spent at least 2 and a half hours of the drive breathing
in the polluted air. Not fun. We’re finally here, safe, and completely unpacked
from the 26 foot U-Haul I was responsible for driving. And guess what? I didn’t
hit anything! No dents, no scratches, no nicks. Just a little white smoke that
billowed out the side of the vehicle when we floored it up hill. No big deal.
Wahoo! Success! And now I know that I’m able to drive just about anything you
throw my way. Next up: a semi!
Here’s what the day looked like in a bunch of photos. I’m
too exhausted for a detailed description, but this should be good enough for
now!
Before the trip. All packed up!
We're Mooses. Moose. Meece. Mice? Rawr!
Our caravan.
On the road!
So smoky. So, so smoky. Found the 143 sign through the thickness though...I LOVE YOU ADAM!
Washington is BEAUTIFUL!
Oops. I got good gas mileage though! Only cost $120!
More smoke. You couldn't see much more than this!
The 26-foot U-Haul professionals. Yeah, professionals.
The professionals checking the smoky source. Something about the muffler? I don't know.
Unpacking!
Loading the trailer is so much harder than unloading! Thank goodness we were unloading tonight! We did great and got it done in record time! Everything is out and the truck is ready to be returned tomorrow at 10 AM!
Oh!!! Adam purchased his gun today! It’s a Smith and Wesson 44 Mag. Whatever that means :
)
Gosh, he’s so handsome! I guess the gun is too. What a stud. I miss him! One more week! Love you Honey!
