The Furry Packing Surprise
This is the little animal we picked up on our way from the laundry room. We've chosen to name it "Lint," maybe for obvious reasons. Dad said tonight, "I can always tell when it's time to change the lint trap when the dryer starts shaking." Ooooh. Great. *Hand slam into face.* Well, safe to say...the dryer isn't shaking anymore! And the house hasn't burned down yet! Victory! I told dad that I applaud him for learning how to do the laundry. As a man, that's an accomplishment not many can say they've mastered. Adam is still learning. And I know that when I get home, half of my white shirts will probably have turned to pink. The other half will have turned into shrunken belly shirts. And that's why I also told my dad tonight, "You need a woman around here." Good thing he has us!
...Especially because we bake him treats while we pack! Mmmmm...cookies! Good Housewives! The house is quickly becoming more and more bare. And the 50 "free" newspapers Ellie snagged from Home Depot and Seattle Times yesterday have certainly come in handy. We're almost completely boxed up and get to pick up the UHaul tomorrow. The next couple days are going to be busy, as our moving date has changed to Friday!
There's not much more we have left to do in the house, so, we challenged each other to a fierce game of Monopoly to pass the time. The four of us watched our demise as Jacob claimed all of the money and most of the properties. Broke as a joke, we surrendered while he smiled happily into the camera, victorious. Lesson learned: don't sell Park Place to a madman.
