Day Three Hundred and Thirty-Four

The "What Do We Do?" Day

*Disclaimer*
I've just spent the last hour stuck in a truck with a flock of mosquitos. Yes, a flock. The 20 over-sized bumps of itchy pain have really put me in a bad mood, so I'm keeping this one short. When I get to Heaven, one of my questions for God will be, "Seriously, why mosquitos?"

Adam finished his series in Fort Myers tonight at 11:30 and now we're sitting in a new hotel in Port Charlotte. When you play back-to-back series like this, things get a little complicated on "moving day." We were required to check out at noon today from the hotel in Ft. Myers. Well, we stretched that until 2, when they finally kicked us out. Adam left for the field with the team, and then, it was Alejandra and I...alone in a new town with 10 hours to spare. The only obvious answer was to walk around the mall. So that's what we did. For four hours.

You know when you enter a store and think, "Gosh, I wish this whole place were my closet!" That's exactly what this photo reminds me of.

The next two hours, Alejandra and I sat in the Macy's parking lot and watched the skies fade white to gray. We talked and talked. And then talked a little more. Girl time was way overdue, as I've been missing my precious friend.

While we sat, a show unfolded before our eyes! Fort Myers loves to light up the sky!

The last few hours were spent at the rainy field of the Minnesota Twins' Spring Training Facility, watching the boys play from the cover and comfort of the truck! We pulled right into the stadium, alongside the Hammerhead bullpen, and enjoyed a new and dry vantage point.
