The Wal-Martians
I don't know if it's ever, ever, felt this good to put away groceries. Adam apparently thought so too! He normally does what he can to help after a trip to Wal Mart or Publix, but tonight, he took complete control of the task and went to town on so many bags of food! I think it finally sunk in that after two and a half months of unsettled living, we're finally back to normalcy. Just the two of us in our own little apartment. Enjoying the newlywed life together. Just the way God meant for it to be. I'm excited for the first day (hopefully by this weekend) that we can sit on our couch, watch the news, and drink our favorite morning coffee together. I guess I never realized how special and important those times were for Adam and I when they were happening. Now, I see clearly. We've learned so much these past few months, and are surely stronger because of them, but now, we're ready and excited for this new opportunity to begin. Here's to putting away more and more groceries in our 700 square foot, one bedroom, one bathroom apartment!!!
Adam and I admit, openly, that we're weird people. On my left arm, three large freckles make the eyes and nose of mouthless face. When Adam is picking on me (yes, he picks on me!), he'll grab a pen and draw in a flat line (the mouth), completing the face. If I haven't plucked the hairs on the freckles that are the "eyes" of the face, my little companion has some pretty sweet eyebrows. Anyways, whenever we recognize something in the vague shape of a face with a flat mouth, we both exchange smiles. Tonight, he noticed a similar face, scratched into my arm! See, even when I'm learning to skim board, Adam's on my mind!! We call our "face" the "Brrrrrrrrrrr" face.
