Day Two Hundred and Sixty-Eight

The 25-Day Mini-Break

Oh Honey...
When I said "I Do," I promised you forever. Even if you looked liked this. I guess I passed the test, right?! Haha. It was Adam's first off-day in 25 consecutive days, and of course, he found himself with a ball and a glove. He takes the mound tomorrow in Augusta, Georgia, and throwing the ball this afternoon was probably the most important thing he could have done for his start tomorrow. I've learned that taking days off when you're on a specific timed-out program is not good for your arm. I'll take his word on it! And so, he tossed the ball around with Jose, and then after, with me! I love playing catch with my boy.

And just to be sure, this is what my HANDSOME husband looks like post-pitch. Basically, a model. No big deal.

The 2012 MLB draft. Wow. I cannot, cannot, believe it's already been a year since Adam's name was called. Unbelievable. So much has changed since then. And instead of sitting at Larry's house with the TV blaring, waiting patiently (or not) on his name, Adam had a much smaller gathering in front of a tiny computer screen. This time, though, we knew who we were rooting for. And anxiety was certainly not apart of the equation.  In this year's draft, the Marlins chose a lefty from Oklahoma State as their first rounder. Looks like Adam has some competition ahead of him. Not to worry, my man's a stud. Besides, Adam throws harder anyways. No big deal ;)

Gosh, he is so darn weird.

Adam's picked up a new habit. Not only does he throw heaters, he smokes them too. His reasoning, "Well, Kendall, you only told me I couldn't chew tobacco. You never said anything about smoking it."

Ok, he didn't really say that. What he did say was, "I should Photoshop a cigarette into that picture." And so, that's exactly what he did. Haha!!
