Day Two Hundred and Fifty-Two

The Greensboro Grasshoppers of 2012

Maybe the boys are getting used to me. Every single one of them (well, at least the vast majority) know that wherever I am and whatever I'm doing, there's always a camera in my hand. And when they saw it come out today, there was little fuss. They quickly assembled, put on a smile, and ta da! Meet the Grasshoppers of 2012! We (and I'm speaking for the entire town of Greensboro) LOVE our Hoppers.

The booster club graciously put together another team BBQ, and once again, the food was tremendous. But the relationships we've made are even sweeter. We (and I'm speaking for Adam) LOVE our Boosters.

Our Greensboro Grasshopper! On a card! The team baseball cards came out today, and I was so excited to get my hands on Adam's! It turned out amazing. So fun. And yes, I have a lot of them...

So, I've become really close with Sheila ever since moving to Greensboro. She's been a sort of "mother figure" to me, but even more, she's become a wonderful friend and confidant. We sit at the games every day together, talking about life and all the crazy details in between, but today, we decided to take our conversation elsewhere and headed to the nail salon for a deluxe pedicure. Over laughter, tears, and a bit of Fro-Yo, we shared a much needed break from the "real world." It was nice to get away from the game, from the boys, from the apartment, and just relax. I don't think I've done that in quite some time now. And I am so very grateful that Sheila has taken it upon herself to love on me. Because sometimes, I just need that extra attention and love. Especially since I can't just drive to my Mommy's house, crawl into her arms, and fall asleep.

  1. I had the best time! God has put you in my life for a reason, and I am so very glad. Now, if I could get my legs to look like yours....
