The Jersey
I'm back! Kendall was getting mad at me for A) not writing blogs and B) for not taking pictures of all the excitement happening around me the past few days. That being said, I don't like arguments over this kinda thing so I just wear it and do what she says. I always like telling people, "the trick to marriage is finding someone you're afraid of," or maybe even better "I can be right, or I can be happy." either way, If Mama aint happy, nobody happy. So I'll write the blog and try to remember to take more pictures.
Life gets busy and hectic sometimes, but when I get to relax, I can't help but think about how blessed we are. Life in florida means many things to us. It means a job, it means life on our own, it means new adventures, and it means this jersey a lot of the time. If you haven't heard, getting married, and moving across the country is expensive. That means a Pro Ball players salary won't cut it, and we can't afford to spend much time in rookie ball. I mean that both literally and figuratively. The name on the front of that jersey reads Marlins. It's got a colorful new logo, and that logo means Big Leagues. Although players who don't make the Big League squad get to play baseball somewhere for the Marlins, under an alias like Hammerheads, Grasshoppers, or Zephyrs, we all get to wear this jersey for spring training. An awesome reminder of what we are aiming for. What an awesome thing to have in your sights!
I start a Minicamp on Saturday, and Spring Training on March 4th. I threw a 50 pitch bullpen today and everything felt great. My arm feels as strong as ever, and whether my wife believes me or not, I occasionally throw a nasty Slide piece. She'll have to see it to believe it. Luckily for me, Mama gets to see it real soon.
