The Savior Is Born
God gave the gift of life to the world. And today, we remember his birth, his life, and his sacrifice. Because of his grace, I can celebrate my days in freedom. How exciting!!!
Today was our first ever Christmas together, and we enjoyed every bit of our new family dynamic. We've already added few Conley traditions: Luke 2, homemade dinner rolls, hand crafted stockings with wrapped up presents inside, and, of course, swimming 100 laps. Well, as far as Adam's concerned. Following a late wake up, an even later gift unveiling, and the world's latest breakfast, we headed to the pool to enjoy another 80 degree day. This time, Adam's CHRISTmas spirit had his adrenaline pumping, and with sturdy determination, he swam all 100 laps. Without stopping. I jumped in at 50 and finished alongside him, but I couldn't imagine doing any more! I'm so proud of my stud! But he'll be paying for it tomorrow! Before today, our most ever laps finished, in a row, was 40. Go. Team. Conley! We dried off and hurriedly began preparing our ham dinner, with Katy helping us to learn the basics of holiday cooking. Our family feast was a pure success... Adam's food baby is still kickin! To cap off a most beautiful and peaceful day, we took a stroll along one of our neighborhood streets and found the most brilliant display of lights any of us had ever seen! The cross at the end of the road was the perfect ending to our first Christmas day - a true reminder of what this season is all about. We love you, Jesus. Merry Christmas!
