Day One Hundred and Five

The Christmas Eve Sunrise

A 5:30 AM wakeup call was not on my list of things to do. But through a mighty, and majestic, and powerful scene only hour later, Florida sunrises have now etched a permanent place into our lives. Shawn McDonald, in his song titled "Captivated," captures the emotion that highlighted this most beautiful Christmas Eve morning:

When I wake unto the morning
It gives me Your sight
When I look across the ocean
It echos Your might

The sand on the shore and the waves in the sea
The air in my lungs and the way you made me
That's what draws me
To You

At FC's Christmas Eve service tonight, our pastor brought clarity to the importance of light. We celebrate the birth of our Savior tomorrow, and it is He who brings, in full, light to this very dark world. Jesus is the light of this world, He is the light of my life, and this morning, I was reminded just how beautiful and perfect the fullness of the Lord's light really is. Every day. Merry Christmas, my friends!
