Day Thirty-One

The Married Group

It's official. We're not complete loners anymore! For the past month, Adam and I have mostly kept to our own one-on-one interaction. Not purposefully, but moving 'cross country does have some setbacks, one being that we knew nobody upon arriving. Other than Adam's casual friends at the field, we hadn't developed any sincere connections with any other couples, until tonight! Coming from a small-group at Resonate, known better as "The Engaged Village" (we miss you all!), I was excited to see what "The Married Group" at Family Church was all about. (We're married! Gosh, that still gets me every time!) Over snacks, laughter, playful sarcasm, and God's Word, we got the immediate impression that these people are the kind you hold onto. We were completely at home, at ease, at peace. Finally, we're beginning to see the motion of progress building. And it feels good.
