The Determined Ones
She refuses to claim the title as "baby."
This girl tries keeping up in all sorts of ways, and as the youngest of four, she's quite determined. Her latest desire is to read and do school, "just like everyone else, Mom."
She's three.
She's wants to read.
Here goes nothing.

What started as a small project to turn the mud pit into a sand pit has since been hijacked. Upon the discovery that nearly our entire backyard is not, in fact, grass but rather an extremely invasive weed called Chinese Wedelia, I started ripping it out. Not really considering what would go in its place and determined to get the weed out, I tore up half of our backyard. Well, half a yard of dirt in South Florida during hurricane season means: mud. All day. Every day. So, Adam--already busy with all his other things and on a time crunch (story to come)--brought me a truckload of sod and together with the big kids, we laid all new ACTUALLY REAL grass. I still have half the yard to do, but it's at least a start. And now, when my boy goes to pick up after the dog, he'll be able to clean it up without smashing all of it into the "grass," which was more like a gazillion tangled spaghetti strands under a thick layer of grassy leaves and yellow flowers. Good riddance.
I love you, Adam.
The kids' first night back in group class after a long summer break.
It was fun hearing them all play together again :)
