The Bean House Packing
Aaaaaaaand, we’re packing AGAIN.
Next up: Washington State.
Adam has a two week road trip traversing from Norfolk, VA to Jacksonville, FL, and unless he gets called up to Tampa, we’re in for the longest separation we’ve experienced since the good ol’ Covid days of Dad being trapped in a hotel room in Philly for 9 days, three games into last season. Whew. While this trip will hopefully resemble none of his last one, we’re all still dreading the heartache that comes from his absence. Thankfully, we get to be with lots of family and have tons of summer fun planned, so the kids are just about as excited as can be.
And so, we spent our offday packing up the Bean House, as we won’t be returning. We rented it for just the month and if it happens that he’s still with the Bulls come June 29, we’ll have another Durham house-hunting adventure to explore.
While Mama cooked and Daddy cleaned, the kiddies were busy...
...chasing fireflies!!
We’ve never seen them in real life before, so you can imagine their excitement when they discovered the blinking and glowing bugs flying around the forest!!
Between the three of them, they probably caught about 10 lightning bugs!
And once it was dark, we sat down together to watch them light up! Ah, what a night! It was definitely one of the coolest things we’ve seen while being here!
This is pretty great too <3
