Day 2,370

The Richness of Fatherhood

Staring into the morning sun at dawn with his son right behind him. A day he’s been looking forward to for a long time. Adam and Mr. Josh took the two five year olds out for their very first hunt. A hog hunt. Carrying his gun the entire time without a single complaint, Bearett sure made Daddy a proud father.

They were exceptionally quiet, saw two deer, a dead cow, and lots of bones. No hogs, but they still had fun shooting their guns! Bubba shot his brand new BB gun for the first time ever yesterday and said it was awesome.

Future native Floridian hunters.

My heart could explode.

He’s such a good daddy. Whether in the woods with his boy or on the couch gearing up to make unicorn slime with his girl, he’s up for it all.

And it’s only because of the love he has for Christ that he can do it at all. Thank you Jesus for redeeming him.

Bear may have been excited to hunt, but I think she was equally as excited to make slime. She can’t get enough of the stuff. Makes Mom crazy.

And Ella Mae? Well, she apparently was more excited than anything to finally get some sleep. The girl slept almost three hours at nap time and would’ve kept going had we let her. Learn a thing or two, woman: GO TO SLEEP at bedtime and take you WHOLE nap! I promise I’m not just making you sleep for my own selfish gain! (Only some)
