The Conley/Mays Christmas was filled with suspense and surprise and cheers and squeals. Maybe a few too many whines and screams in my opinion too - just being real, and we have Miss Ella Mae to thank for that! It’s possible she woke up too soon with the big kids, binged a bit too much on Christmas endulgences, and slept a little too little at nap time, but in any case, she did succeed - her siblings and Auntie too - in making this the best but most tiring Christmas yet!

We spent the day together as a family with Auntie Morgan over to celebrate - a blessing we didn’t see coming this time last year! What a testimony of the Lord’s faithfulness in such a short span of time!! We were thankful to have family over to share in one of the two most meaningful holidays of the year and in our lives as Believers. To be able to speak to Morgan about Christ and His birth so freely was a gift I’d been praying she’d receive for years. We are consumed with awe at our Savior and praise Him for leaving His throne in order to become the perfect sacrifice necessary to satisfy the wrath of God that exists due to my - our - sin. This all to restore our relationship with God and provide us life eternal with our Creator. And as Adam so sweetly outlined in his mini, toddler-friendly “sermon” last night: God, throughout history, as we have learned in our family reading through multiple books of the Bible, continually provides for the ones He loves, though they didn’t necessarily deserve it - ultimately pointing to the provision of eternal life through Christ’s perfect life and sacrifice on the cross. What a sweet day yesterday was. We are so incredibly thankful and humbled at such a treasured, perfect gift.

We hope you had a Merry Christmas!
We’re full. We’re thankful. We’re blown away at His mercy. And we’re a lot tired too!

Also, we’ll have an online version of the Christmas card pictures we never sent out, up by the end of the year. A recap is in order and though I totally failed this year in one of my favorite Christmas traditions, I’m allowing myself room for some grace as completing the cards turned into a potential source of huge stress that I just couldn’t put us through!!
