Day 2,294

The Very-est Christmas

Very Christmas!!
It was the sweetest, most dear Christmas that either Adam or I have ever experienced. To be dwelling on Christ's coming in order to ransom our souls while surrounded by the abundance of grace He's poured into our lives through our children and marriage - I stood amazed. What a most perfect God he is. Thank you, Lord, for making a way for us. For the perfect life, the perfect sacrifice, the perfect resurrection so that we who were once separated from God - our Creator - can be restored to Him in eternity.

We spent the day just the five of us, building our bonds, securing our hearts, celebrating our Savior, learning tradition, listening to Dad's sermon, riding bikes, building Legos, and eating prime rib. Oh, and unwrapping presents too! My heart is overflowing with thankfulness. What a "Very" Merry Christmas, and such a special one too. Our first one as a family of five. Ella Mae's first one ever. Amelia's first one with siblings. And Bearett's first as a Conley. Saturated in goodness over here, that's for sure.

And two things: their surprised faces when they saw their bikes will forever be etched into my memory. And the taste of my first ever, homemade prime rib will be too! Oh, one more thing: Adam's sermon was 43 minutes this year and absolutely incredible.
