Day 2,258

The Parenting Seminar

Our church is growing at a rapid pace and what a blessing it is to be apart of. We are constantly grateful for the serious minded believers that surround us and for the young families that desire edification and wisdom as they faithfully lead their children. I cannot wait to see how the Lord uses us and these babes in the days and years ahead. But without a firm foundation and direction in our roles as parents, we'd just be left spinning our wheels and probably looking more like the world than we should. Thankfully, we have a pastor who's heart it is to shepherd his flock with integrity, as he leads us in knowledge and discernment based soley on Scripture. And yesterday, he led a four hour seminar on parenting that accomplished the goal of defining our specific roles as parents. They even recorded it :) If you find yourself needing/wanting/desiring a Biblical perspective of what your roles as parents are, and have some spare time, I'd suggest listening!

While the mamas and dadas learned, the kids learned about Jesus, sang songs, ran, played, ate, and made pretzels!!!

They had SO much fun. No more does Amelia cry when she goes to church and instead, runs into the room with a huge smile on her face. I think she loves our church just as much as Mom and Dad!!!

Oh yes, yesterday also marked Ella Mae's first time getting water in her ear.

Though she looked like a muffin topped sausage, she sure enjoyed herself!
