Day 2,199

The Way Home

Mom can't wait to do a little (ok, A LOT) of this soon. Patience. Patience, Mama.

We spent yesterday packing up the condo in Miami, loading up the suburban, and driving the majority of our stuff back home. All of this, of course without our Dada, who's currently in Arizona on his last road trip of the season. We can't wait until he makes his way home to us. We are tired. Really tired. I bet maybe the boys driving the line of utility trucks out of Florida are tired too. 2017 has been quite a year.

Alas. The princess has arrived.

Car unpacked. Groceries stocked. Thumbs up. We did it.

My vote is to leave our entry looking like this at least for a solid week. My desire to move another box, haul another basket, or touch another suitcase is in the negatives. If that's even a thing. We are home. Now, the waiting game begins. I can't believe how fast this season went and how incredibly full it was. So much - SO MUCH - has transpired since March. Looking forward to digesting it all from the cushions of my couch and the seats of my church.
