The Fifteenth 2027 Fish Start
The time has come. My two brainiacs are starting to learn to write their ABCs
Yesterday was Day One of "school," and though it's only roughly ten minutes per day, it's probably all they can really handle anyways. I was quite impressed with Bearett's ability to maneuver his marker "up, down, and across," but Amelia, well, she's only two and a half. Her scribbles were good enough to earn her a pass. And then a cookie too.
This babe always gets a pass and clearly, she always gets the milk that compliments Amelia's cookies. So scrumptious, this one!!
After school, we had quiet time and then pool time! It only took us maybe ten pool days, and now Bearett can swim for 5 seconds. He can float, turn over and swim. And yesterday, he turned from his swim to his float ALL BY HIMSELF. We are wildly proud of this young man!!!
We're proud of this old man too!
Adam pitched a nap-time ball game yesterday. The kids stayed awake long enough to catch a few glimpses of Dada before the game started, but by 4, they were ALL passed out and Mama got to enjoy two hours of Daddy alone. Ha! With my wild amount of "free time," I completed a forty minute workout video in the space just north of Ella Mae's head and it was just what I needed to keep my heart and mind in check while the game unfolded before me.
He pitched well. A "Quality Start," but the Fish never scored. So, Adam took the loss and we were swept by the Nats. Super bummer because we're at the tail end of a heating up wild card race and the loss didn't help us gain any ground. But there's still lots of baseball left, so we'll see what happens!

Mostly, we're all just ready to have our Dad back. They tried staying up to meet him, but Dad's midnight arrival was just too late. So they read their Bibles, said their prayers, and crawled in bed, eager to see him when they awoke.
