The Face of Grace
The offseason wouldn't be complete without our annual trip to the Christian baseball conference we've now attended four years in a row. PAO is a time for baseball players all across the game to come together for four days to open God's word in fellowship, and under instruction, grow as a unified body of Believers. It's something we look forward to every year and pray that it's once again a tool to help us mature in our faith.
See, look at me, already maturing in grace.
Because what I'm really wanting to do in this particular instance is to take my size 8.5 foot shoe and shove it right through this nice hotel door that locked me out of my room for 20 minutes at 9:30 at night with an exhausted child and her poopy diaper, while my husband's phone was on silent with no desire to travel again down the six floors of maze to get another bad key without my ID. <--- And that, my friends, is what we call a run-on sentence. Gah!
But instead, I calmly just sat on the floor, changed her poop, cuddled her up, and waited. And waited. And waited. Until eventually, a staff person let me into our room.
Day One and I'm already making progress. Praise God ;)
