Day Eighteen Hundred and Sixty-Eight

The Process of Searching for a Church Home is EXHAUSTING...BUT, We Finally Found One!!!

Sometimes, a nap on Mama is the only way to go. She slept an hour in her big girl bed before pounding on her door, asking for "Mama, Mama!" I swooped her up, laid down on the couch and within minutes, she was back to sleep and stayed that way for another 2 1/2 hours. I felt slightly guilty for my unexpected laziness, but Adam was gracious to let me rest with her and took away my guilt in the process. I love my family so much, I can't even believe it. God has poured His favor out on me and I am forever in awe of Him and these beautiful, undeserving gifts He's lavished on me.

Oh!! And big news for the Conley fam: we found a local church yesterday!!! Praise You, Jesus! After moving to our home last year, we had continued communing to our church in Tequesta on Sundays, but it was a forty minute drive and getting harder each week. We (reluctantly) decided that when we got back from season this year, we'd try to find a church home much closer to our home so that we'd be able to be more active in the church and community. But ah! Let me tell you, looking for a church is hard. And it seems because of our constant travels, we're always in that process. It's EXHASTING and to be honest, it's been very hard on me. I hate it. Really. I was about ready to throw in the towel and ask my husband just to start our own church in our living room (hahahaha!), but the Lord so faithfully led us to a church yesterday that we can't wait to call home! We attended the morning service and then again the evening service and I just couldn't help but to break down in tears over how clearly God answered our desperate prayers. He's provided us a place to learn and grow and glorify His great name alongside some of the most welcoming and Godly people. I joked to one of my girlfriends that maybe we're just so desperate to find a church home that this place is actually a mirage and we're being completely naive to have found a church this precious and faithful to God's word. I suppose we'll find out in time, but with how the Lord has continually grown us in discernment, we feel really good about everything we've seen, heard, felt, and learned in just two visits. Ah!! Just so happy!
