Day Eighteen Hundred and Thirty-Two

The Hose in the Nose

Miss Amelia discovered all the hidden wonders of the hose yesterday. In about 2 minutes, she'd figured out that when the lever is down, the water comes out. My smart girl.

What she couldn't quite figure out though was how to keep the lever compressed and the water running while slurping the water down at the same rime. For a kid who's favorite drink in the whole wide world (besides breastmilk, duh) is water, she would not be defeated.

It took a few straight shots to the face to fully comprehend the workings of this simple machine, but after twelve tries and a soaking wet exterior, I'm proud to announce that our water-loving child was victorious in her pursuit of handheld water dispensation and nourishment at the same time. For an 18-month-old, you sorta have no choice but to be impressed.
