Day Sixteen Hundred and Eighty-Two

The Best thing about Baseball

Better than any stadium or start or hotel or win, baseball brought Kelli and I together - a forever friendship centered on Christ. Oh how we just adore you, Auntie Kelli!

We've spent every day together since she arrived last week. I love her heart and her desire to serve. She's taught me so much over the past year and I'm so grateful for her wisdom.

And for how much she loves this most precious munchkin.

That's why last night's news was so hard to swallow. Chris - her hubby - was designated for assignment, meaning he is now available to be picked up by another team OR head to NOLA. I cried when I heard the news last night, but I immediately was so thankful we had just spent such a sweet day together.

I will miss you - for however long we're apart - more than you could ever know. Your friendship is a treasure and though I selfishly desire you to stay put, the Lord has plans for you far better than I could fathom. Trust that and hide that truth in your heart.

Isaiah 43:18-19
"Forget the former things. Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."

Millie and I love you, Kelli! Keep your nails long and your anxiety short. Remember His promises and choose to focus on today. You've brought such joy and fullness to our lives and we can't wait to see you soon. Baby Noah too!!
