The Safe
Yesterday started off so nicely.
Amelia and I got some sun.
I sprayed the pool deck.
She gnawed on a cold carrot.
(Her poor baby gums are a constant nuisance, but she's handling it so well! I haven't had to give her anything but extra cuddles, love, attention, and lots of cold things!!)
We fetched our mail (for the very first time) together.
But Adam?
He was up to something far far away.
At his favorite store called...Gander.
Oh, what on Earth could he have possibly purchased?
Something obviously heavy, requiring FOUR grown men's help.
Something tall-ish.
Something requiring an improvised ramp.
Something boxy.
Weighing 800 pounds.
And leaving behind an entire room-full of cardboard.
Oh Honey, what did you buy?!
Oh yes, of course! A gigantic 35-gun safe, how could I forget?! At least if there's ever a hurricane or tornado here in town, the entire Conley family has a safe (get it?!) place to hide! And though I wasn't expecting it to be quite as big as it actually is, I'm excited to use it as a decoration piece...and I'm even more excited that we now have a safe (haha) place to store all Adam's firearms, especially as Amelia has officially mastered the art of crawling.
Thanks for your help, gents! (And just to be clear, Adam didn't just go out and purchase this safe without first talking at length with me about it and doing his research. I was just being silly in my post...I wanted to keep up the suspense! Rarely do we buy anything (besides groceries and Millie-stuff) without first communicating it with the other - keeps us honest, in check, and saves us from unnecessary disagreements in the future!)
