Day Fourteen Hundred and Eighty

The Baby Rookie's Last Game

As I sit here in Miami while Adam flys with the team to Philly, I've come to the realization that last night's game against the Rays was our very last game of the season. No more (live) baseball for Millie and Mommy. No more flying about the country, chasing after Daddy with suitcases and strollers and car seats and carriers. No more Ubers or taxis or trains. We're all done. And though Dad was given the tremendous news that he'll take the ball for the very last game of the Marlin's 2015 season, Amelia and I won't be there in person to enjoy it. Instead, we'll be in our condo in Miami, packing up and cheering at a television screen from miles and miles away. Why didn't we go to Philly like planned? Well, currently, there's a hurricane threat in the Northeast that's supposed to make this weekend a disaster. With our luck, and with a baby who will not be forced to sleep overnight in an airport or possibly much worse, we decided it was probably better and safer that we just returned back to Miami. A hard decision for sure. And as I sit here in bed alone with Amelia, it's hitting me harder than it was hours ago when we said bye to Daddy.

I have a (insanely cute) one-toothed, crawling and talking 7-month-old, I just spent 2 straight months with my rookie family in the Big Leagues, there's three more days of season, I've been married 4 years, live in Miami, and just turned 28. And we're buying a house. Like, rewind!!! What just happened?!

This season was such a joy.
It was such a pain.
It was beautiful and hard and encouraging and tiring.
It was everything I thought it would be. And so much more.
The Lord taught us more in this year than ever before and we'll spend the rest of it in awe and in prayer and in pursuit of realizing all the lessons we're to take from it.
I feel blessed beyond measure to have been able to share so many treasured memories and firsts with my little tiny family. From The Arch to Times Square to Canada and the Capitol...it's been a wild and incredibly fun ride. We've done so much. Seen so much. Experienced so much. And to cap it off with touching live rays at a baseball game...well, I'm not sure I could've asked for more!

Farewell from two Conleys and this little Ray from Tampa!
Now, we wait for the Third Conley to join us Sunday after he closes out the Marlins season on what hopefully is one heck of a high note!

2015: WE LOVE YOU!
We'll cherish you and your baseball memories forever and ever!

And this cute memory too :)
(In case you were wondering what most of my days look like in my attempts to get ready for each baseball game!)
