Day Fifteen Hundred and Five

The Pumpkin Patch(?)

Technically, it wasn't a patch.

More like, a parking lot with a bunch of pumpkins on it.

But it was a patch nonetheless and Amelia's curiosity was on full blast.
(Goodness, I just love them together. Their lips!! That same pouty, inquisitive face! The best.)

I'm not sure Amelia had ever seen a pumpkin before, so our time picking one out for her (and the two of us) was a joy and so exciting. She loved it. And we loved watching her learn and wave and slobber and smile.

We ended up selecting the perfect baby pumpkin out for Our Little Pumpkin. It was grouped together with a ton of other baby pumpkins...but hers was special and stood out among the rest. I picked it out in my head and asked Adam to pick the one Amelia should have. He immediately chose the one that I had chosen and when I asked him "why that one," he said, "because it's the brightest colored of all the rest." We exchanged smiles and gave her her first pumpkin. And then we let her pose with it. And suck on it. Here's our little baby at her first visit to the pumpkin (sorta) patch:
