Day Thirteen Hundred and Forty-Eight

The Cost of Real Food will be the Death of our Bank Account

Eight bags of groceries.
Wanna take a guess at how much I spent?
150? Nope.
200? Nope.
250? Nope.
300? Nope.
311? YEP.
Are you crazy? What did you buy?
Well, I feed a man who's metabolism hates our bank account too. And after switching to (almost) entirely organic, we shop differently now. Which costs more. Much more. Our meat is $9.99/lb, our produce is probably a dollar (two maybe?) more than the conventional version, and even the USDA Organic labels on the inside isles of the store are more expensive. Now, don't take this as me complaining. It's completely been our choice to go this route and we think it's 100% worth it. What I will say, however, is that it's preposterous that something produced as it was created to be (or at least closer to it) is more expensive than a bunch of man-made-up crap that poisons you. I just don't get it! But hopefully this choice will save us from large medical bills in the future?!
Or maybe I just need to go to Costco??

Mom, don't forget that you have to spend the rest of your moneys on me!
