The 36th Week
My sweetest little Love,
Happy 90% loaded!! You're almost done cooking!
Week 36 was another good one - we've gotten feedback from LOTS of people that it looks like you're getting lower and lower and I'm beginning to feel pressure in places I've never felt before, so we know you're close to coming! The only hard part about this week was getting these weird, slightly uncomfortable period-like cramps around bedtime. They lasted more than an hour - so I'm sure they weren't Braxton Hicks (I haven't had any of those yet), but I can't figure out why my tummy was doing that! I'll be asking Miss Elizabeth about it tomorrow at our next appointment!
So, as of week 36 day 6 (pictured above), you're probably right at SIX whopping pounds and measure 18.5 inches long - just like a head of romaine lettuce! Yum! Apparently, most women notice a decline in their baby's movements by now - because there's not much space left - but NOT YOU!! You're squiggling and jiggling just as always, with no sign of stopping! Our midwife said that since I have such a long torso, you have more room to play around in than most other babes, which I'm so so so happy about! I just absolutely LOVE feeling you move all over and I'd miss it if you stopped now! Oh also, I can't remember if I told you this, but you've been head down, facing backwards for quite a while now. Good girl!
I'm so proud of you already, my Love. You've been such a little trooper these past 8 months and have made me more happy than I ever thought I would be. You're a blessing to so many already and especially to Daddy and me. I love you, Squiggle Monster. Even when you punch me in the hip flexer, like you just did.
Kisses forever, hugs for always,
Mommy
