The Baby's Coming!
Currently, I'm in between contractions as I write this. Bare with me. It's 3:38PM on Thursday - the 26th - and they're coming about every 5 minutes, lasting about one. I think we're on our way to meeting a Very Special Girl soon, and I have these giggly faces (and Hubby) to thank. Yesterday, Mom, Dan, and I walked to Publix in the 80 degree sunshine. It was a 2.5 mile trek, and for a 40 week 2 day pregnant girl, that's actually considered a trek in my book. We got back home and not long after, there were noticeable changes already occurring. As we got more and more excited, the two of them hopped onto the computer, searching for more natural ways to induce labor. A few suggestions were obviously entertaining, but we ended up settling on trying out pressure points (which Adam attempted) and a leg/foot massage...
Which Mama attempted!
(Everybody laugh at Kendall for getting fried at the beach on Monday...! I'm an idiot. It's much better now, but still looks ridiculous because I only applied sunscreen to a small, awkward area around my belly button. Cute, I know. Thanks).
Turns out, after the walk, a massage, and some more giggles, things started happening (thanks guys!). By the time I went to bed, I was having mild contractions - not really painful - about every five minutes or so. There were some changes in my body too, which I won't go into detail about, but when I climbed in bed, we were excited about the progress I had made!
Around 1AM, I awoke Adam with some questionable symptoms and stronger contractions. I was concerned that maybe my amniotic sac was leaking, which would've complicated things (in Florida, there's a time limit to deliver within 24 hours if your waters have been ruptured). We stayed up the next hour to time my contractions and eventually called our midwife at 2:15AM to ask about the leaky pink fluid and report on the contractions. She wasn't too concerned, so we went back to sleep with directions to come to the birthing house at 9:30 (this morning) to test the fluid - just to be sure. Turns out, it wasn't amniotic fluid (thank goodness), so we're in the clear and now waiting as patiently as possible on Our Baby!

Just checked your blog as i was curious about baby! You can do this mama!! Praying for you and your team as you bring this preiciois girl into the world!! What a privilege!
