Day One Thousand One Hundred and Seventy-Six

The 27th Week

Baby Girl,
Yesterday, you were 27 weeks, 6 days old and most likely weigh right around 2 pounds! Chunk-a-monk! That's about the size of a head of cauliflower! You're getting so big! You measure roughly 14.5 inches, and get this: this week I felt you hiccup for the very first time!!! Oh my goodness, what a feeling! I told Daddy that I thought it was weird that my side was twitching - it tickled a little, but I didn't give it much thought until about 2 minutes later when suddenly, I realized what was really happening! You've had hiccups four times now - at least that I've noticed - and I laugh every single time! It's the cutest thing! I just love you so much!
This week, you also started moving like a mad woman. I thought you were crazy before, but no movements of yours can compare to your activity level these last few days. Daddy thinks you're playing umbilical cord jump rope in there! He's probably right. And don't think I mind it one bit - play all you want - but you did wake me up last night with all that wiggling around, and I couldn't fall back to sleep. No need to feel bad though, I did more research to pass the time, and you know how much I like that...especially when it has to do with YOU!
Let's see: Daddy's working really hard in the gym for you and weighs right around 214 lbs. He's gonna be the biggest he's ever been when you finally get to meet him, and that's something to be excited about!! Mommy's been working hard in the gym too, and in 27 weeks, I've gained right around 14 pounds. So far, I haven't noticed any stretch marks, and for the most part, I'm feeling great (aside from that pelvic/pubic pain that I've told you about before, but Dr. Matlock helps make me better - I can't wait for you to meet him!)! Oh also, tomorrow, we leave for Colorado Springs for a Christian baseball conference called Professional Athletes Outreach, and it'll likely be the last time they let me fly with you still in there! Hopefully you don't mind the altitude...or the long ride, but trust me when I tell you that this conference is just as important to you as it is to Daddy and me, so it's worth just sitting back and relaxing and not trying to come out mid-flight. Thanks ahead of time, Baby Girl!

Daddy and I love you soooooo much!
Stay cozy and kick all you want, My Lovely!

Love, Mommy
