The Deer-less Plot
We leave the woods of central(ish) Kentucky deer-less. No dinner for you, mister! It's was a sad, freezing cold morning in Sadieville and the deers must have felt the same way too...because there wasn't one in sight ALL day long. Each day out there got progressively more and more scarce in Bambi sightings, but Adam enjoyed every second hunting with his Pa...which did make their empty handedness a bit more bearable. If you had to ask me though, I'd tell you their return without a buck was a well thought out ploy to get Adam back up to KY before the end of the offseason. Yeah. That sounds more like what probably happened. Because my guys ain't losers, and this seems like the only logical explanation I can think of as to why they came home with big fat Ls scribbled across their foreheads ;) Geeze, if you had that much fun, Hon, all you had to do was say something because I'm up for making another trip in December too!
Because if that were the case, I'd get more time with my favorite Kentucky (almost) great grandma!! After Adam's unsuccessful return from the woods yesterday, we drove two hours to his dad's hometown of Paintsville, KY, where Adam's Grandma Chris was waiting for us! We spent a few hours loving on each other and telling stories and eating buffets and taking re-enactment photo shoots of three years ago (Day 75), but we had to say goodnight and goodbye far too early for our liking. Sooooo, Adam, if going back is on your radar, well Baby, it's on mine too! Just gotta make sure Little Conley is up for it...
Speaking of our Lady, things just got a whole lot more real in the Conley household...someone got her car seat yesterday from Great Grandma Chris and Auntie Kim!!! The Peg Perego 4-35 is likely to become one of Baby C's best pals! Ahhhhh! SO excited!
