Day One Thousand One Hundred and Twenty-Seven

The Baby's Half-Done Baking!

20 weeks down.
20 weeks to go.
We're halfway there, people!

In 4 1/2 months, I've gained 9 pounds, the baby has grown to the size of a butternut squash, and just this week, I started feeling Little Conley KICKING!! Oh my gosh, what a feeling! And yesterday, Adam finally felt our kid's foot - or arm or bum or whatever it was - kick him in the hand too! We're thrilled and excited and cannot wait to find out who's in Mama's tummy!

Just a little update:
I'm feeling much less tired lately - though I am still trying to recover from the Washington travel and recent late-night craziness around home these last few days. Let's see...I'm still slightly weirded out by the thought of eating chicken and any type of broccoli, but definitely, my appetite has mostly returned, with the absurd aversions having vanished. Oh, one thing I've experienced apparently more severe than usual is the pain associated with round ligament stretching. This is the only moment in time I wished my stomach muscles weren't strong…because it takes more effort to separate them, apparently. Just imagine being stabbed in the upper left side of your midsection and having the blade run completely down your abdomen, all the way to your hip bone. *Yeah, cue vomiting sensation, now.* Gosh, if stomach stretching hurts bad enough to make me want to puke, how am I ever going to actually deliver a child?!
Answer: you just are.

And for a little update on Daddy:
He's great. Just started his official offseason lifting schedule this week at Coastal and is very excited to get started. He weighs 207 currently, with goals of getting bigger and stronger in the next five months. He's also been such an incredible helper throughout my entire pregnancy and actually, I don't know how I'd ever manage this without him….

…I mean seriously, how could I have lettered "Loading 50%" without his perfect penmanship, focus, and attention to detail?! ;) Love you, Adam!
