Day One Thousand One Hundred and Two

The Actual Happiest Place on Earth

I can't speak highly enough of this man if I tried. Dr. Matlock has changed our minds, our spines, and ultimately, our lives. And we're never looking back. Before meeting him, Adam and I were both skeptical of chiropractic care. "My back doesn't hurt, I'm not having any symptoms, what do I need a chiropractor for?" Oh the naivety! Your spine carries the literal life blood to all parts of your body through your spinal cord. When your spine's not aligned properly, those crucial nutrients simply either can't or don't get to your body efficiently - regardless if you're presenting symptoms - because they're restricted by a sort of spinal "kink." Kind of like a kinked hose. Those kinks are called subluxations, and it's the privilege of Dr. Matlock to remove them to get your body working at maximum capacity. It's a process that takes a lot of time and persistence, so getting adjusted just once won't cut it. Much like going to the gym just once won't get you fit. When your body's been one way for a long time, it takes effort to get it where you want it. And that's why currently, Adam and I are seeing Doc 2-3 times a week.

Oh, and chiropractic care while I'm pregnant, you ask? Heaven's YES! With all these crazy hormones pulsing through my veins, my body is stretching and moving like I've never experienced. My SI joint is a mess and my sacrum is hurting because of it, but every time I leave the office, the pain and pinching are gone. You can bet your bottom dollar I'll do whatever it takes to make sure Matlock is in my delivery room come February. I'm really excited about the difference an adjustment will make during labor!
