Day One Thousand One Hundred and Three

The Cost of Comfort

And then…this happened.
I think this makes me a mom. Or something.
I tried on a pair of maternity jeans for the first time in my entire life. That was…surreal.
You know, they were actually quite cute. Modern. Hip. I could get used to this! Then, I saw the tag. They make designer maternity jeans? Oh? And that's when I saw the price. $250 for a pair of stretchy pants I'll wear for 6 months? Uhm, you know I'm like, growing a baby, right? One that'll supposedly cost me $10,000 in it's first year? Yeah, I ain't got the money for no designer pants, Destination Maternity! I gotta feed my kid! But, they did have a 75% off sale rack. Which, I didn't purchase anything from. But at least next time I go back, I'll know exactly what part of the store to shop in…so there's hope! I walked out of there feeling semi-accomplished, a little sticker shocked, but only having spent $6. I win.
