The Day That Just Kept Going
For whom should be a very experienced nomad, it is abundantly clear: I suck at packing.
Adam somehow managed to fit ten days worth of outfits into his suitcase with an overflowing amount of extra space. Meanwhile…mine was just overflowing.
Remind me again how I'm supposed to responsibly add a child to this?
Between lifting, packing, cleaning, laundry-ing, and driving 100 miles in the torrential downpours that define South Florida, our day just. never. stopped. But the free, clean, cozy, and dry mattress was most definitely worth it. Thanks Caleb and Lindsay! I'm sure many of our family and friends will appreciate this upgrade from the air mattress we've been offering them for so long!
When your day is painful and soggy and lame and frustrating, sometimes it's hard to find something to smile about. The mattress gave us that first glimmer of hope…then the grins stretched wide at the sight of our friends and a fully prepared pot roast meal. I mean, c'mon, doesn't get much better than that! Company, food, babies, games, and no dishes the day before making the longest possible trek across the country? Yes please! And thank you! We'll miss you Florida! See you in 10 days!
