The DeLand Surprise
With a very long day behind me and an obnoxiously early one tomorrow, I'm keeping this one short and sweet...even though I could write and write about Channing and her lovely mommy...and her adorable hometown...and her so cute puppies...and her restaurants, her kitchen, her orange trees and her gorgeous lake front property. But...I'm running out of time and Adam's getting cranky...
Channing and I surprised her mommy at work yesterday. A three hour road trip north to her hometown DeLand was quite unexpected by mommy! (I didn't realize at the time just how much I needed all those hours with Channing. A solid 6 hours of talking. I like!)
Channing's family owns three restaurants. They took me to restaurant #1: Cook's Cafe. I learned that Channing's maiden name is Cook. Quite fitting for daddy who's a chef...
Channing's claim to fame: she's got her favorite on the menu!
Restaurant #2: Cook's Buffet, Cafe, and Bakery! (The chocolate cake is just not fair! Too easy to eat!)
Restaurant #3 is actually a coffee shop, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
I finally was able to give Channing her Christmas presents!! Nothing beats Saturday Nothing, our most favorite candle, and a mug to enjoy the two from!
The mugs I made for Andrew and Channing!

I love Channing and the friendship we've grown over the past 6 months...she's dear to me and I feel so uniquely blessed to have her in my life! Thanks for the hometown date, girl!
